Loss Prevention Manager

Loss Prevention Work is one of the cornerstones for Security within Saab. Within Group Security the function supports the business by providing expertise, support and best-practice in order to establish tailored Loss Prevention work, meeting both external and internal requirements.

As Loss Prevention manager the main responsibility is to establish and implement internal requirements, provide expertise within the field of Loss Prevention, provide support to the business in case of questions and perform Loss Prevention surveys on the global arena. This will require frequent travels, international and domestic, to any location where Saab is present. 

The world is changing rapidly and therefore we need to adapt and be proactive in our work to give the support to business as needed. Are you the one we are looking for?

You will report to Head of Physical Security, have close collaboration with Head of Loss Prevention and Loss Prevention Officers on different sites within the company.

The main tasks are:

  • Provide expert support within the Loss Prevention area/Fire prevention area.
  • Perform Loss Prevention audits in an national and international context.
  • Develop and manage the Loss Prevention audit program (Saab Blue)
  • Close cooperation with the Loss Prevention Officers at our Business areas and other relevant functions such as Group Property.
  • Represent Group Security/Loss Prevention in a number of operative forums.
  • Saab is a global company, we work in an international context, and this specific role will require some travel, domestic and international.

Your profile

To take on the challenge as Loss Prevention manager at Group Security you have excellent interpersonal skills and has an easy way of making contacts and to cooperate inside and outside the company. You take pride in your interest for the area of Loss Prevention and Fire prevention and you keep yourself informed about changes in legislation or requirements within your area of responsibility. You have a good understanding and insight when it comes to technical systems and standards and norms national and international in the fire prevention area.

In your previous employments you have probably worked with Loss Prevention and internal requirements as well as planned and performed audit. You have performed trainings within the area of Fire prevention and you have knowledge of Loss Prevention and Fire prevention processes.

You know best practice for Loss Prevention as well as basic knowledge of Property and Facility management and you are well acquainted with current and future needs for Loss and Fire prevention. You have good knowledge of the risks posed to a company like Saab as well as the capacity to propose and evaluate protective actions.

Required skills:

  • Several years’ experience from working with Loss Prevention/Fire prevention work at a large company
  • Fire engineering education/certificate
  • Excellent communication skills in English verbal and written
  • Trustworthy with high standards of ethics and personal integrity and willing to accept a background screening
  • Established knowledge in Swedish, European, US (SBF, NFPA, FM, etc) standards and norms
  • Established knowledge when it comes to Technical Fire Prevention Systems such as Water sprinkler Gas extinguishing system, fire alarm system etc.
  • Established knowledge in Swedish, European and other constructions standards regarding fire prevention

Desired skills:  

  • Working experience as Loss Prevention manager is highly desired
  • Certification within the area of Risk management  
  • Working experience in Facility management area
  • Experience of working with service providers in the fire prevention area
  • Experience of working with Property Damage and Business interruption Insurance or other insurance experience
  • High self-awareness especially regarding your personal strengths and weaknesses
  • Analytical and structured
  • Business and Commercial understanding

This position requires that you pass a security vetting based on the current regulations around/of security protection. For positions requiring security clearance additional obligations on citizenship may apply.

What you will be a part of

You will join a highly professional security function with personnel of different backgrounds and competences. We work mainly within the areas of physical security, information security and personnel security, including travel security. You will have an arena to develop both the Loss Prevention area and the Fire Prevention work and also be a vital part of the whole function. You will work closely with the Head of Loss Prevention Group Security and Loss Prevention Officers at the different Business areas and teams all over Saab as well as many other functions including Group Property and Group Insurance. The personnel at Group Security are working from mainly from Linköping or Stockholm and you will probably get the best possible work environment to do so as well but we can see that you can have a work place at other locations also there Saab have a bigger facility.
