Job Description:

Saab, Inc., is seeking an experienced Senior Quality Control Inspector to work at their Ashburn, Virginia facility supporting Saab’s regional airline customers.

The Senior Quality Control Inspector will be responsible for the implementation and adherence to the procedures set forth in the Saab General Operations Manual.  The Inspector will be responsible for inspection of inbound and outbound shipments of aircraft parts. This includes but is not limited to ascertaining that all certification documents accompanying parts are correct and complete in accordance with FAA and EASA Regulations.  The inspector is responsible for the release of parts in accordance with the requirements of the Production Organization Approval (POA). The Inspector must also participate in periodic audits of the Quality System by Saab Quality management and the various National Authorities.

The Quality Assurance Inspector will be part of the Warehouse Team and will be called upon to perform warehouse duties.  Work schedule will include after-hours on call duties to support our regional aircraft customers. 

Primary Responsibilities include:

  • Incoming inspection of aircraft parts and equipment

  • Product inspections/audits

  • Working knowledge of electrical/mechanical inspection equipment

  • Data transactions within ERP system

  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs.

  • Maintain Hazmat database

  • Monitoring of shelf-life material

 Secondary Responsibilities Include:

  • Maintenance of Calibration equipment and database

  • Maintenance/Calibration of Electro-Static Discharge (ESD) workstations

  • Support of other job tasks related to warehouse operations

Compensation Range: $26.49 -$31.78

The compensation range provided is a general guideline. When extending an offer, Saab, Inc. considers factors including (but not limited to) the role and associated responsibilities, location, and market and business considerations, as well as the candidate's work experience, key skills, and education/training.

Skills and Experience:

  • Associate’s degree, technical/business school or equivalent

  •  7+ years of relevant experience

  • Aircraft product knowledge

  • Effective time management/multi-tasking, organizational skills

Citizenship Requirements:

Must be a U.S. citizen, Permanent Resident (green card holder), or protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3).
